FAQ's
Q: Where do we meet the boat?
A: Our boat is located on IGY Marina, Dock D, in front of Luxury Avenue.
Q: Is the bottom of the boat really glass?
A: The bottom is not entirely made of glass but there are two large viewing windows that allow a fascinating glimpse under the water as we travel.
Q: Can you provide Transportation to the Marina?
A: Yes, we can. First, pick and schedule your tour with us. Once payment for the tour is received, we will work with you to arrange transportation needs (roundtrip or one-way). Once booked, you'll receive an email and text from the transportation service to confirm the details and complete the payment.
Q: Are the prices in Mexican or US Dollars?
A: All the prices listed on the website are in US Dollars.
Q: Why is the boat limited to 06 people?
A: Effective 2020, the Harbor Master changed the boat maximum for safety and healthy reasons. All tour boats are now required to limit guests to 06 people per boat. We can arrange a second boat to accommodate a larger party. Email us for more information.
Q: Do you provide Food and Drinks?
A: We have a cooler with ice with complimentary beverages. If you are on an extended tour we suggest bringing your own additional drinks and your own food.
Q: What should I bring on the tour?
A: We recommend you bring sunscreen, towels and sunglasses. For longer tours we recommend bringing some additional drinks and your own snacks. You may bring your iPhone or other music player for the Captain, or he can provide music. If you get seasick we recommend taking nausea medicine before the tour.
Q: Why are life jackets required at all times?
Lifejackets are mandatory at all times for glass bottom boats, which sit lower in the water. We supply complimentary lifejackets for passengers over the age of 2 years old.
Q: What if the weather is bad on the day of my tour?
A: If the Harbor Master decides the weather is unsafe for boats to go out, then we will attempt to reschedule the trip or refund you in full (less any PayPal fees, if applicable). It is important that we have a way to reach you in Mexico - your travel cell, your cruise ship, or your hotel room number - so we can notify you of any Marina closures.
Q: How far in advance can we book?
A: Up to six months in advance.
Q: Why did your prices change since last time?
A: In Mexico, rules shift at a different and less consistent rate than those in the U.S. We are a small operation with a specific captain and crew, not an internationally owned large corporation with multiple employees that spreads risks among different regions. Our personal small company approach makes the tour experience more intimate and meaningful, but also leaves us more vulnerable to shifts in the market/circumstances.
